Portable, battery-powered wireless systems offer a very straight forward and flexible approach to providing listening access for deaf and hard of hearing people in line with requirements of the Equality Act. Needing no installation, wireless systems can be ready to use whenever and wherever they are required and with any number of people, from individuals to large groups.
A portable wireless system comprises of a radio microphone transmitter for the person speaking and one of more receivers for those listening. With the receiver, hearing aid wearers use a neck loop with their aids on the 'Loop' program and non-hearing aid wearers listen using headphones.
